Yin & Acupressure

  • 1 h
  • Burgh Street

Description

Yin & Acupressure Yoga uses long-held passive poses to target the deep tissue and fascia networks of the body, improving the flow of Qi or life force throughout the meridians and organs. Postures are usually held for 3-5 minutes with the use of props to support the pose, allowing the muscles to relax. Most of the class is spent close to the ground, in stillness. These classes are themed around Traditional Chinese Medicine’s ‘5 Elements Theory’, in which each season is associated with a different element and accompanying meridians. Acupressure and self massage is used to further support the flow of Qi throughout the subtle body and promote overall well-being and relaxation.
