Iyengar Yoga for Healthy Hips Saturday 20th April | 16:00 - 18:00 In this open-level workshop, we will practise an accessible sequence of standing, seated and supine postures, focussing on the main movements of the hip joint – flexion, extension, adduction, abduction, inner and outer rotation. We will explore the use of props for healthy alignment and deepened effect. The method is designed to improve hip mobility, release stiffness in the groins and relieve tension in the lower back. Open to all levels and experience. Not suitable if you have a serious medical condition or have had recent major surgery. Mirja is a certified Iyengar™ Yoga teacher (Junior Intermediate Level 2). Yoga found Mirja on her first trip to India in 2002 and she began teaching in 2011. Mirja teaches with precision and lightness, dedication and humour, encouraging students to explore āsana as a way to increase awareness and understanding, and to find more space and freedom in body & mind.
To cancel a group yoga class, please do so from your "my bookings" page at least 5 hours before your class starts in order to be able to book another class otherwise the class will be charged at the Trial or Drop in class price and £10 for Unlimited Classes Pass holders. All classes, workshops, events, retreats and courses are non refundable. All workshops, events, retreats and courses are non transferable. Private and corporate yoga classes may be cancelled and rescheduled up until 24 hours before the start of the class, after that they are charged at the price of the class.
